This place is a must-see and a great family destination in Switzerland!! We have been in Gstaad for a weekend, and the Swiss Alpine Village is the perfect base to arrive on the Glacier 3000, in only 20 minutes, in a scenic route on the Alps!
From Montreux 40 min, Lausanne 1 hour, Bern 2 hours (ny car). Inform your self here about the Railway offers here.
The trip itself with the cable car is incredible!! Arriving on Scex Rouge gave me the impression of arriving in another world! The panoramic view of the Glacier, Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, and Jungfrau is terrific!! One day is not enough for the Glacier 3000!!
For sledding with toddlers, the best option is the Fun Park. Unfortunately, the Snow Bus wasn’t operating on this day when we were there! For sure, that was one highlight for our boys!
