On arrival at Raja Bhoj Airport (IATA: BHO, ICAO: VABP) in Bhopal, this morning you will be visiting the Bhimbetka. After breakfast, we will hit the road heading towards Bhimbetka. Bhimbetka is a World Heritage Site and is situated south of Bhopal. This is the site of the second oldest cave paintings in the World. The location is beautiful, along the Satpura range of mountains. The area around the caves is forested, which adds to the natural beauty. On the way, we will also stop over Bhojpur temple. The tiny village of Bhojpur is situated on the bank of river Betwa. Bhojpur is famous for remains of magnificent Shiva Temple and Cyclopean dam dated 1010‐53 A.D. You will return back to hotel at Bhopal in the evening.
Today after morning breakfast you will depart for Sanchi. On the way to Sanchi, you will pass through the town of Dewanganj, Salamatpur and other small villages. After checking‐in into a hotel in Sanchi, refresh yourself and later in the day proceed to visit the Sanchi Stupas. It is unique for having the most perfect and well‐preserved Buddhist stupas. The remains of Buddhist saints Sariputra and Mahamodgilya are also preserved here. Sanchi is 46 kms north east of Bhopal. It is unique for having the most perfect and well‐preserved Buddhist stupas. Udaygiri caves are rock‐cut cave shrines, dating from 320‐600 A.D. You will come back to Bhopal in the evening/night, dinner and stay at hotel tonight.
