Arrive at Trivandrum airport, meet our representative and later transferred to Varkala Upon arrival in Varkala - check into the hotel. Rest of the day free for personal activities and relaxing. Enjoy this evening at the beautiful beach cliff Optional to spend this evening for dinner at a beach side Seafood restaurant

Day 2

Breakfast at the Hotel Morning visit the ancient Janardhana Swamy Temple which is believed to be 2000 years old. Later visit to the sivagiri mutt built by the great Hindu reformist sreenarayana guru in 1904.
The rest of the day can be spend at the beautiful beach or go on a short sight seeing to Kollam
Return to the resort for dinner and over night stay

Proceed for Kumarakom, which is again a picturesque, drive. On arrival at Kumarakom, check in to Hotel.
Kumarakom, lying on the eastern shore of Vemband Lake is only 6 miles away from the coastal town. Kumarakom backwater resort bound by the Vemband lake on two sides, the swaying paddy fields on one side and islands on the lake across from Kumarakom are home to a large variety of migratory birds
Rest of the day at leisure.

In the afternoon board houseboats/Kettuvaloms.Kettuvaloms: The traditional rice boats of Kerala – A romantic way to explore the unique web of lakes, lagoons, canals and rivers. These Kettuvaloms/house boats converted into and accommodation of one/two bedrooms, a kitchen and a sitting/dinning area. Each cabin has a double bead and en-suite WC and washbasin. The crew has their own separate facilities.
As the boat slowly cruises through the backwaters, absorb this unusual representation of Kerala life. You will be awed at the vast expanse of the paddy fields that surround these beautiful backwaters. The boats will stop in villages for you to experience a glimpse of the village life in rural Kerala. The villagers will be only too please to invite you to have a sip from the freshly –picked raw coconut fr-om their own field.

Later arrive at Alleppey by houseboat and transfer to Kochi by car/coach. On arrival check-in at Hotel.
Kochi, is a city with a rich past, from time immemorial has seen maritime trade with the outside world. Portuguese led by Vasco Da Gama arrived in 1502 and later the Dutch and the British. And descendants of the Jews who arrived in ancient days still live here. Rest of the day free for independent activities.

Sightseeing tour of Kochi takes you to the Jewish section where the first emigration of Jews to Kerala is said to have taken place in the 6th Century B.C (in the 1st Century A.D. Jews had fled from Roman persecutions and sought to haven in Cranganore, 80 Km away). The Jewish Synagogue in Mattancherry was built in 1568 and rebuilt in 1664 with Chinese willow – patterned tiles and gold crown and has ancient scrolls. Visit the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1510 and later taken over by the Dutch. See St. Francis Church, the first European Church in India, until his remains were taken back to Portugal, and the Chinese fishing nets named after the country of their origin.
In the evening witness a Kathakali dance. It is a classical art form of Kerala, which follows the age-old traditions of dance drama. The literal meaning of Kathakali is Katha (story) kali (play) and when performed is a complete form of the theatre.

Sightseeing of Tellicherry
The most important landmark of Tellicherry is Tellicherry Fort, which was built by the British on 20th August 1708 on a small hill "Thiruvallippad Kunnu". This Fort had a formidable strong hold during the British Rule. Other important centres at Tellicherry are one church built beneath the walls of the fort with the funds left by the master attendant Edward Brennen. The square fort, with its massive walls, secret tunnels to the sea and intricately carved huge doors, is an imposing structure. The fort was once the nucleus of Thalassery's development. It is now a historical monument.
Muzhappilangad Beach is a drive-in beach in the state of Kerala in southwestern India. It is located parallel to National Highway 17 between Kannur and Thalassery.
Sree Ramaswami temple or commonly known as Thiruvangad temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Sree Rama, is an important temple located in the east part of Thalassery. The temple is generally known as the Brass Pagoda from the copper sheeting of its roof.

Morning proceed to Sulthan Bathery also known as Sulthan's Battery lies approximately 25 kms from Kalpetta. Associated with Hyder Ali and Tipu Sulthan, Sulthan's Bathery no longer has a fort. Check in at the hotel.
Visit Pre Historic caves
On the Ambukuthi hills are the two Edakkal caves, natural rock-cut formations formed by a large split in a huge rock roofed over by other large rocks, all fixed in position through natural processes. These caves have been made famous worldwide for their ancient carvings and pictorial wall inscriptions of human and animal figures with peculiar head dresses and swastik forms and symbols. Archaeologists say the place was one of the earliest centres of human habitation. Dating to the prehistoric era of the new stone age civilizations, these caves can be reached from Ambalavayal, 16 km from Sultan Battery. The last two km to the caves have to be trekked. It is best to visit the caves in the morning
