After a long flight nothing feels better than to relax a little and feel the vibe of Havana. Stroll down the streets and get to know the city. Havana is a city where you can walk for hours and discover all its pretty places. Today you have some time to recover from the flight and enjoy the first impressions!
There is no better way to explore the enigmatic streets of Havana than by a classic vintage car. In the morning you get picked up and you will have the opportunity to customise the tour and stop off in your favourite spots. Sit back as you cruise your way to Old Havana, Centro Habana, Vedado and Nuevo Vedado, as you watch the city transform before your eyes. Driving past colourful colonial architecture, mysterious cobbled alleyways. You cannot help but feel like you've stepped back in time.
Followed by a meet & greet and a guided walking tour you will visit monuments, buildings and squares which hold considerable cultural, political and artistic significance. Step into the everyday lives of local people and witness how the city has come to develop over time. It is both a place of grandiosity and a bustling urban community. Wander through the Plaza Vieja, discover its fascinating history from 1559 all the way up to today, where you can absorb the social buzz of the picturesque bars and restaurants. You will also visit the city cathedral. Marvel at its theatre-like facade before discovering more hidden gems of the old town.
Now that you have discovered the old part of town and have seen the highlights, you can dedicate today to visiting the other neighbourhoods in Havana. You can cross the bay to visit het Morro fortress, explore Vedado or Centro Havana, or just go back to beautiful old Havana and walk in the footsteps of the famous Hemingway. Every neighbourhood offers something unique. Whether it's eating at a quintessential paladar or taking a leisurely stroll along the city, you're about to find something that you fancy. There is also an abundance of art studios and boutiques selling local artistry throughout the city, so if you're an art fanatic, be sure to pay a visit to shops like Clandestina and Pisoclabis Bazar-Café in Old Havana. And of course, there will be ample opportunities to enjoy a refreshing mojito when the mood strikes you.
Its your last day, make the most out of it! Havana offers many cultural options during the night. Performances from Cuban artists take place at theatres, cabarets, cafes like El Batazo and cultural venues. We highly recommend visiting Fábrica de Arte Cubano or if you love jazz music, you should not miss El Gato Tuerto or La Zorra y el Cuervo. Around the golden hour, take the opportunity to admire Havana city from a great perspective. Do not miss the sunset from the Malecon; walking down the Malecon gives an amazing sense of Havana's rambunctious spirit. Every night at 9pm there is ceremony in La Cabaña fort called El Cañonazo which is fun to go to.
