Arrival, meet and greet at the airport and transfer to Kandy. En-route visit Pinnawala elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala - which is a home to about 60 Elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Also, accompany the Elephants to a river close by to see them having their daily baths. In the evening visit the temple of the tooth relic and witness a cultural show. Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Peradeniya - Botanical Gardens was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. In the late afternoon do a city tour of Kandy-the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. The name Kandy conjures visions of a storied past, splendour, legend, folklore, mystery and traditions lovingly kept alive for countless years. Visit a gem museum and a lapidary. Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, transfer to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya-is Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country producing 50% of the world’s best tea. Sri Lanka's highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 ft) is located here. Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast, transfer to Colombo. Full day at leisure. Colombo-visit fort and Pettah areas and drive past the 100-year-old clock tower, the old parliament and several British built, colonial buildings. Other places of interest are, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo museum, the Bandaranaike memorial international conference hall (BMICH). Visit the ceramics corporation showrooms, the ODEL unlimited dress boutique and the majestic city shopping complex. Overnight stay at your hotel in Colombo.
