Welcome to Athens!! You are met at the airport by our friendly representative and transferred to your hotel where there is time to settle in and relax. Your first arrival, Athens, has been known for its mystique and ancient archeological remains. Thanks to its rich morphology Athens has plenty of places where you can admire stunning panoramic views of the city. Let yourself be captivated by the Athenian cityscape where the old meets the new and the result is astonishing. Overnight at Athens.
After Breakfast , proceed for your morning sightseeing tour to discover the glories and the rich heritage and observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city during. Our expert guides will help you explore the Acropolis. The newly built Acropolis Museum is a must see spot as part of your Athenian historical exploration, where you will admire the wonders of the classical era. Afternoon is free to visit Plaka and Monastirakia characteristic area of “old” Athens, with narrow streets and small buildings where the city’s traditional bazaar (Yousouroum) is held . Early in the morning you will be transferred to the port of Piraeus for your ferry to the island of Santorini. (07:25 – 14:55). Upon your arrival you will be led to your hotel and then you will have the rest of the time to enjoy the gorgeous views of the island. Fira is the picturesque capital of Santorini; perched high up on the edge of the Caldera, it looks like a marvelous painting. When the sun sets, the reflection on the buildings and the glow of the orange and red in the cliffs can be truly spectacular. Do not lose the opportunity to have a romantic dinner on the rim of the caldera with the most breathtaking view in the planet. Overnight at Santorini.
After Breakfast ,You can spend your day visiting other famous smaller villages like Akrotiri and MessaVouno, with their famous archaeological sites, Pyrgos, Karterades, Emporio, Ammoudi, Finikia, Perissa, Perivolos, Megalohori, Kamari, Messaria and Monolithos: some of the villages are cosmopolitan some more peaceful; they are surrounded by vast vineyards; whitewashed cliff-top towns with castles affording amazing views out over the Aegean. Morning at leisure. You can visit the Historical and Cultural Archaeological Museum of Santorini as well as the Museum of Prehistoric Thira both located in Fira. The Archaeological Museum exhibits collections of sculptures and inscriptions from the Archaic to the Roman Era. It hosts impressive frescoes as well as sculptures of the Hellenistic period, Byzantine works of art and even some remains of prehistoric times. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the port to embark the ferry to Naxos (15.30– 17:30). Upon arrival in Naxos you will be transferred to your hotel. Time for settle in and relax. Enjoy your free day in Naxos, the largest and greenest island of the Cyclades with imposing high mountains, fertile valleys, lush gorges, stunning seascapes and traditional villages in the mountains, where the inhabitants still wear their traditional costumes and live of the fruits the earth gives! Naxos is also an island of beautiful old churches, monasteries and Venetian castles coexisting harmoniously with the cubic houses of the Cyclades. Visit the Venetian town of Chora and enjoy its unique medieval architecture of Cyclades. Do not miss the opportunity to visit The Archaeological Museum which is situated in the quarter of Kastro, Naxos Town. This really interesting museum, housed in a superb 17th century Venetian mansion, exposes a collection of objects and art works dating from the late Neolithic period until the early Christian times. After breakfast, transfer to the port of Naxos to take the ferry to Piraeus port in Athens.(09:30 – 15:00) Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend your day at leisure and do not miss the opportunity to visit the “heart” of the historical centre of Athens, the traditional commercial neighborhood, with more than 2,500 shops of all kinds, which spreads out over the streets surrounding Ermou Street (the city’s best-known commercial street). Overnight at Athens.
After breakfast pick up for a special day tour in Delphi . Upon arrival in Delphi we’ll visit Castalia Spring and the main archaeological site the Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians, the Theatre, the Stadium and the Museum with the famous statue of Antinoos and the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer . Enjoy a break for lunch in town and then relax on your afternoon journey through central Greece. Gaze out of your window as you cross the Thessalian plains, passing the pretty towns of Amphissa, Lamia and Trikala, and then arrive at your Kalambaka hotel in the early evening. Dinner in your hotel and overnight stay at Kalambaka.
Savor breakfast in your hotel, and then travel to Meteora. The UNESCO World Heritage site is home to more than 20 rock monasteries, either perched precariously on top of Meteora’s towering sandstone cliffs or built into the cliffs themselves inside naturally formed caves. In the 4 hour travel back to Athens you will have the opportunity to stop in the coastal town of Thermopylae, near Lamia and learn about Thermoplylae’s historical battle between the Greek Spartans and Persians. Arrival in Athens early in the afternoon. Overnight at Athens.
According to your flight departure time, you will be transferred to Athens airport to get the flight back carrying in your ´´luggage´´ the wonderful memories of Greek Attractions.
