Leh And Ladakh
Leh is the capital of Ladakh, an enchanting and hassle-free destination with the scenic mountain landscapes. The little towns are always bustling and have pocket-friendly eateries, souvenir shops in the bazaar area. Gushing fresh streams and stone footpaths link traditionally styled homes and hotels that feature flat roofs, sturdy walls, wooden furniture, and decorated wooden window panes. Upon arrival, we highly recommend our clients to rest on the first night to get used to the new altitude and environment. Further, from next morning, you can start with your adventure.
After having a wonderful flight over the Himalaya you will be received by our representative and transferred to the hotel. After arrival, check in and enjoy a complimentary tea/coffee. Tonight is left to your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
After Breakfast we will straightaway proceed for Indus Valley Monastery Starting with Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Thiksey Monastery an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh, 3 Idiots Rancho School & SindhuGhat. After visiting the above places we drive back to Leh. Later, Evening at leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Continues drive till Hundar village. On arrival check in your camp. Afternoon enjoys the beauty of sand dune and double hump camel. Camp.
After an early breakfast, we leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs.
The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through Sakti Village. Stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photograph session and drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong Lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m).
Drive back to Leh in the late afternoon. Overnight at Hotel in Leh.
After breakfast, we will start our sightseeing with Hall Of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh. It is worth for every Indian to visit & proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib at an altitude of 3600 Mtrs about 22 Kms from Leh. It was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev ji Nestled deep in the Himalayas. A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. As you move ahead from Magnetic Hills, just before Nimmu Village, there comes a famous Confluence Of Two Rivers Indus River coming from Tibet (left) and Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley (right). Zanskar River is known for its famous Chadar Trek.
After visiting confluence, we head to AlchiGompa, the complex of temples located within the village is the most celebrated of Ladakh’s monasteries and dates back to the 11th century. After visiting Alchi we back towards lehenroute visiting Likir Monastery which was built in the 11th century and was again re-built in the 18th century and houses a 25 feet Lord gold covered Buddha Statue. Later we drive back to Leh. Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Leh.
Morning transfer to airport to fly home after a memorable trip!
