Breakfast at the hotel and then start full day tour visiting the great Pyramids of Giza area, the three Pyramids Cheops, Chephren and Mycrenos, which are guarded by the mysterious Sphinx with the body of a lion and a human head. The Big Pyramid is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the most important tourist site in Egypt. After that you will be guided to a shopping tour. Egypt is known for its world class handicrafts, jewelry, perfumes. Visiting the bazaars is a great opportunity where tourists can pick excellent gifts of Egyptian perfume when you are visiting the perfume factory, also you can buy Papyrus and enjoy an explanation of how ancient Egyptian manufactured it and how it lasted over than 100 years, cotton wear, gold, silver jewelry & souvenirs are also available. Then you will continue to visit the Egyptian Museum, the Museum houses about 250.000 antique pieces covering the whole history of ancient Egypt, which extends over the past five thousand years, and then transfer to the station to catch the sleeping train to Aswan dinner on board the train and overnight.
On arrival at Aswan, you will be transfer to the Nile cruise. Embarkation at 08:00 A.M. Aswan (or Assuan) is a very important economical and social centre in Egypt. Here, the High Dam built during the ’60s is one of the world’s most majestc project, which has changed the geography of Egypt and the life of milions of people. After a tour to the dam, a visit to Philae temple, called also the ” Pearl of Egypt. Later sail to Kom Ombo. On arrival you can visit the Temple known as Kom Ombo is actually two temples consisting of a Temple to Sobek and a Temple of Haroeris. Later sail to Edfu. Overnight at cruise.
Morning on arrival at Edfu you can visit the majestic temple dedicated to Horus which is considered by most to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. Later we sail via Esna Lock to Luxor where we dock for the night and you sleep aboard the ship.
Breakfast will be served on board, Crossing the Nile River to the West Bank, you’ll visit the necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes. Arriving at the Valley of the Kings, burial place of the kings of Thebes (ancient Luxor), you will have a brief stop at the visitors center. Guides are not permitted inside the tombs, but your guide will tell you what to look for inside the elaborately decorated rooms. If you wish to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamun, an additional cost is payable direct. Leaving the hot sands of the Valley of the Kings, you will visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most striking monuments in Egypt. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the temple and the story of Queen Hatshepsut, the famous female ruler of Egypt who posed as a male to gain the throne. There is free time to explore at your leisure as you wander the large courtyards and admire the intricate hieroglyphic decorations. Returning to Luxor there will be time for a brief photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon.
Disembarkation after breakfast and then transfer to the airport to catch the International return flight and back with sweet memories of your wonderful holiday in EGYPT.
