Our tour starts from Stockholm. Those coming from Mumbai will arrive by the Emirates flight and will connect with the others on the flight to Lulea a seaside town in the north of Sweden and the Capital of Norrbotten, the northernmost county in Sweden. In the evening we would have an orientation of the itinerary of the days to come.
We will start our day with a local guide and visit some of the important sights of the town. The Old church town of Gammelstad, a UNESCO world heritage church town with a historic stone church and 424 wooden houses (mostly red in colour) which looks contrasting with the snow cover. We would then depart to cross the border over to Sweden via Haparanda. We will first visit the Santa Clause as we cross the Arctic circle. Evening would be a good time to walk around Rovaniemi.
After breakfast, those who want to experience snowmobiling will proceed to the activity center and will get into an overall clothing to enjoy a snowmobile safari (optional). The other people at this time can simply take it easy in the morning or visit the Arktikkum museum. Later after lunch, we will drive to Olos where our hotel is located in the North of Finland, Lapland. The hotel is ideally located in the outskirts and If the sky is clear we could see some Aurora Borealis in the night skies.
In the morning and still in the day light hours we would drive back to Yllas to enjoy the Arctic Dog Safari. Later, we will visit the Snow Village, where we would enter the Snow Hotel and experience the art where every room has been carved out of Ice. We will also see various sculptures made from ice.
