On your arrival in Madrid, meet our representative and you will be transferred to your hotel. Unwind for a while and then you can explore your surroundings. In the evening transfer from your hotel to the Tablao Flamenco Torres Bermejas, opened in 1960, the most important and unique in the world flamenco show. Torres Bermejas is unique for its stunning room that reproduces inside the Bermejas towers of the Alhambra in Granada with walls with Arabic motifs, tiles and wooden coffered ceilings, and home of the most famous Flamenco singers and dancers as Manolo Caracol, Camarón, etc, where you will feel a real ambience and see a magnificient show of Flamenco songs and dances, including a drink, Spanish typical tapas or a tasty dinner delight. Return back to your hotel.
Today morning, proceed for a half day guided tour of Madrid. See the main sights including Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, Plaza de los Cibeles and much more, then enjoy an in-depth guided tour of the world-famous Prado to study works by the likes of Hieronymus Bosch, El Greco, Velazquez and Goya. Discover the wealth of grandiose Renaissance and baroque architecture bequeathed by the Habsburg and Bourbon monarchs while driving through the Puerta Del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa. Continue towards the Royal Palace – the largest in Europe – and the famous Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, and the Puerta de Alcala. Explore contemporary Madrid with boulevards such as Gran Via, Paseo de la Castellana, the upmarket district of Salamanca, Plaza de Castilla, Parque del Oeste, the university, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Bernabeu Stadium. Visit the Prado Museum, home to some of the greatest artworks ever created, and study the works of four masters. Later in the afternoon you are free to explore Madrid on your own. Toledo, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is situated in the heart of ancient Castile atop a rock in a bend of the River Tagus. Toledo is one of Europe’s oldest settlements and is considered a museum city of great artistic beauty. It is also known as the City of Three Cultures where Christians, Muslims and Jews lived together. Visit the stunning cathedral, with its splendid architecture displaying a range of Spanish Gothic styles. The interior also contains numerous art treasures such as stained glass windows, the choir, main chapel, altarpieces, paintings by El Greco and much, much more. Visit all the most iconic landmarks such as the St. Tomé church, home to Conde de Orgaz’s tomb, see El Greco’s masterpiece; the Santa María la Blanca Synagogue; the San Juan de los Reyes Monastery and the Mosque of El Cristo de la Luz. See how in Toledo they traditionally forge steel for their swords. Be amazed at the incredible detail and craftsmanship of the various metals. At midday you can take a well-earned rest and enjoy either a set lunch menu. The tour will end with a beautiful panoramic view of Toledo before you’re driven back to Madrid. Overnight stay at hotel.
In the morning start with a pickup from your Madrid hotel, and then relax on the journey to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of Segovia. This ancient Roman city enjoys an idyllic setting between the rivers Eresma and Clamores, bordered by the imposing Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range. First, take a look at impressive Segovia Cathedral, fondly known as the ‘lady of cathedrals’ for its elegance. Built in late-Gothic style, this Roman Catholic church sits in the center of the city and boasts a fascinating history. Then, continue with your guide to admire the impressive Alcázar Castle, one of the most remarkable castle-palaces in the country. If you want a break from exploring, enjoy a rest in the shade in Segovia’s grand central square. As you continue to discover Segovia’s many wonders, take time to marvel at the city’s enormous aqueduct, one of the finest Roman monuments still to be standing on the Iberian Peninsula. The Aqueduct of Segovia’s precise construction date remains a mystery, though it’s thought to date back as far as the 1st century. The structure still carries water from the Fuente Fría River into the city to this day! At the end of your tour, say goodbye to your guide and travel back to your hotel in Madrid with your driver.
