Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings. Other places of interest are the Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) - an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China, the new Parliament and the Dutch Museum. After Breakfast Proceed to Bentota - on the South coast of Sri Lanka lies the city of Bentota. Many interesting sightseeing tours are possible from here, such as the Turtle Hatchery, Mask Factory, Galle Fort, Mini Zoo, Garden Brief and â€œLunugangaâ€. This is one of good beach resorts of the south coast with many hotels providing facilities for tourists. Beruwala is one of the earliest Moor settlements of the country and the Mosque called Kechchimale at Beruwela is very popular and is dedicated to the memory of Rev.Hajji Voliulla.Beruwela and Bentota are the best areas for water sports such as water Scooter rides, wind surfing. Para-sailing, water skiing, and river cruising. Beruwela has necessary facilities for Deep-sea Fishing and Wreck & Coral Reef Diving. Water sports in Bentota. Afterwards do River Safari on the River. 915-hectare Madu Ganga Estuary is connected by two narrow channels to the Randombe Lake, forming a complex wetland system encompassing 64 mangrove islets. There after Visit Turtle Hatchery - Kosgoda turtle hatchery - Where you can see five species of turtles-Green Turtles (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta), Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) and Olive Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea). The eggs collected by the Villagers and Fishermen are purchased by the Kosgoda Hatchery and kept in sandy pens until they are hatched. The newly hatched ones are kept in seawater tanks and released to the sea in the night. This Hatchery alone has released more than 1,750,000 young turtles to the sea. An endowment by the Hasselblad Estate was responsible for the establishment of this hatchery. Proceed back to Colombo. Overnight stay at Hotel
