Gorgeous!! One of the must see places in Bali.. the entrance ticket is IDR 30,000 / person for locals and IDR 60,000 / person for foreigners. There are vendors selling pork skewers inside, great for snacks! Everyone must wear sarong, so it's better to bring yours there, or else you can rent some there but it'll cost IDR 10,000 / person. It is a complex of temples and visitors may go around but we can't go inside the main hall of the temple unless you are worshippers. I think it would be better if you actually buy offerings and get inside to pray so you can experience the inside part of the temple. It would looks best when there are fog but they're there only in late evening

New normal - beautiful and biggest temple in Bali is open again. But there are way too many people around who try to rip you off. Don‘t accept any offers for sarong rentals, they can give you one at the entrance. A lot of guides and vendors around. When we participated in the prayers, a kind of priest told us we have to put 100k in our offerings. While it is normal to put money in the offerings, there is no exact price. Most locals give around 5k. Come here when there are no clouds for a view of Mount Agung. When it‘s cloudy, the temple gets a bit of a mystic feeling though, which can also be nice for photos. Beware of cold temperatures and a lot of spiders on the way from the parking lot to the temple.

Come here and enjoy one of the most beautiful of the Balinese Temples ever built. The magnificence of divinity can be enjoyed in the very atmosphere surrounding the beautiful temple complex. Bali is one place where people stick to its tradition and culture more than anywhere else on earth and this temple is an example of how immersive they are. If you want to enjoy the beauty of the temple and surroundings, I suggest you to go very early in the morning before the crowd starts to grow up.

What can one day? Informative guide whose English was spot on, we were explained the significance of the temple and why it was built, by whom and in what year, plus shown the location of the very first altar. What a breathtaking place. Transport was great as we drove and the lot of us were driven up the hill by our guide and my boys also driven back down. It would be good to buy some souvenirs from the shops at the bottom. Bargain hard and fair and gave a great time doing it.

Superb temple I ever visit. Great, gorgeous, huge. What a glorious temple. There are a lot of temples around the biggest one. The atmosphere of religious place full filled the air. You have to wear a traditional sarong to cover your feet if you wear short pants or skirt. It’ll be nice if you visit in the afternoon till sunset.

Guides are highly recommended for this place. It is very vast and there are also chances of getting conned by locals. When you pay the ticket price, guides will be free with that. No extra charge for the guide.
When you will browse online reviews, you will get to know that there are many scammers near the temple. But now this issue has been resolved. There is no need to worry. The place is totally safe for family.
As this is a religious place, always wear clothes sensibly. Additionally, you may need to carry some covering stuff in case the entry point directs you to cover more body parts. Do not overpay the donations. Also, be careful while shopping or eating nearby, they may charge inflated price.
This temple is open for visitors from 08 AM to 05 PM. The best month to visit is from April- October and the best time to visit this place is morning because of less tourist and peaceful nature.
