Explore Bali’s water palace that is surrounded by pools and fountains and discover the royal history at Taman Tirtagangga. The grounds have an exquisitely impressive eleven-tiered fountain that is considered to be the center of attraction surrounding the sculpture gardens. This was a former palace dated back to 1940s that is now transformed into lavish water gardens and highlights the verdant scenery along the countryside. The park has an area of 1.2 hectares extending from east to west with three levels of the building. This complex looks like it has existed for centuries however it was built in 1946 by the royal Karangasem family. Travelers can’t take their eyes off from its shrubs, sculptures, flora & fauna, and magical fountains positioned on the octagonal stepping stones. You can also swim in one of the stone spring water.

Taman Tirtagangga is famous for people who enjoy imaginative and beautiful landscapes where you can relax amidst the verdant scenery and plan a tour of the terraced countryside. There are many old temples and you can also see the fertile rice paddies. Tirta Gangga meaning water from the Ganges has always been a tourist destination and well-known for the 10-meter-high eleven -tiered fountain inside the complex covered with numerous ornate guardian statues and lotus ponds. There are springs under the banyan tree in one of the tallest building, this complex has a maze of pools and fountains that is covered by stone carvings, statues, and beautiful gardens. It is a nice picnic spot especially for kids to play around and for those who fancy and enjoy swimming in the pool.
