How to Reach

  • By Train : There are trains from Ernakulam Junction to Fort Kochi
  • By Bus : Kerala State Road Transport Corporation operates buses from Cochin International Airport to Fort Kochi every 3 hrs, tickets cost between 100 – 150 INR
  • By Private Taxi/Ola/Uber : Fort Kochi Beach is 45 kms away from Cochin International Airport, there are taxis available at the airport.

  • There are many reasons we can differentiate Fort Kochi Beach from other beaches in Kerala. The presence of the Chinese fishing nets is perhaps the first easily identifiable difference.
  • Main attraction of the beach is the historic fort, which has beautiful European architecture. The lush green and the trees on the walkway to the beach add to the peaceful atmosphere there.
  • The famous Cochin Carvinal is conducted on this beach every New Year’s Eve.
  • Among other attractions you can’t miss the light house, granite walkway and Vasco da Gama Square adjacent to the beach.

  • If you are in luck, you may catch a glimpse of cargo ships passing through the sea.
  • The remains of the Fort Immanuel can also be seen here.
  • Some part of the beach is not accessible to visitors as it is under the control of the Indian Navy.

Good place to visit in Kochi..beach could be kept more clean. Best part is during Ship arrival, could see the largest cruise ships in the world very close

Beautiful space, believe me if u want to get lost without worrying about Time it's the best. Always filled with cool breeze and u van also see the gigantic ship's sailing nearby

The beach closes as early as 0600 pm and advisable not to go for a stroll in the beach at night.
