Nestled against a hill side in Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane in a very fan-shaped layout of about 3,000m2, Macao panda Pavilion is meant to require advantage of mixing the terrain’s natural undulations with the architectural characteristics.
The pavilion comprises two 330m2 indoor activity quarters and a 600m2 outdoor yard for the inhabitation of the enormous panda and a 900m2 indoor exhibit area. Two viewing paths of various elevations align along the front fringe of the fan-layout indoor activity area, accessible to 2 streams of tourists . Internal facilities include a logistics centre with panda dens, bamboo-washing and storage quarters, feed preparation room, feed warehouse, control centre and veterinarian clinic, etc.
Pavilion of Rare Animals is situated inside Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane and is a conservation site for rare animals. The exhibition hall consists of three indoor and a couple of outdoor activity areas to supply ample activity space for the red pandas. many sorts of plants are planted within the activity areas to make an environment almost like the red pandas’ wild habitat. The temperature inside the pavilion is regulated to stay within 25°C to supply an ambient temperature that's most comfortable for the red pandas. Climbing facilities like perches also are installed inside the activity areas for the red pandas to practise their climbing skills.
The Macao panda Information Centre and Macao panda novelty shop are situated inside the park too. The Macao panda Information Centre may be a two-story building featuring multifunctional video rooms, exhibition areas, reading corners and network interactive areas. Intended as a platform for promoting public understanding of panda , it also hosts, among other activities, exhibitions and interest classes on a daily basis, additionally to providing information about panda . Located at the most entrance to the Seac Pai Van Park, the Macao panda novelty shop is devoted to selling gifts and souvenirs associated with panda . It offers an outsized collection of panda gifts for visiting residents and tourists to settle on from, including soft toys, bags, clothes, stationery and home items , etc. entrance fee is required for the Macao panda Pavilion and Pavilion of Rare Animals.
