Overview

Jurong Bird Park is Asia’s largest bird park with 3,500 birds across 400 species. Twenty percent of these 400 species are threatened. Its large and immersive walk-in aviaries such as Lory Loft and Waterfall Aviary are the main attractions in the park apart from unique exhibits like Penguin Coast and Pelican Cove.

The park pioneered in breeding the Malayan black hornbill (1995) and the twelve-wired bird of paradise (2001) in captivity, and the American Pheasant and Waterfowl Society conferred the Breeders’ Award. This the only park in the Asia Pacific to house an Avian Hospital. The park was founded in 1971.

The park is really big. There are uncountable species of birds. The car ride is great. The bird show is also really nice. The open birds section is really fascinating.

Lots of beautiful birds and opportunities to get up close with many of them in the enclosures. Fair bit of walking in open air so do be prepared during hot days. Do note many F&B outlets and shows closed at the moment during phase 2 of CB relaxing.
