Have you heard the name of Erawan Elephant? This is a type of white elephant with three heads according to Hindu mythology. The name of this park is kept on the name of this elephant. This park is mainly famous for a waterfall called “Erawan Fall” located in between the emerald green ponds, deep forest along with many deep caves.
This waterfall is the main attraction of this park and attracts all tourists visiting this place. Besides this, you may also enjoy watching various wildlife species like Asian Elephant, Gibbon, Barking deer, Samber deer, wild boar, etc.
If you are enthusiastic about birds, then also you can watch more than 100 types of birds at this park. There is no history is attached to this park because this is manmade create to conserve the natural beauty of this place and also save the endangered species living there. The park was founded in the year 1975.
This Park is famous for the waterfall in the name of the park itself. Another attraction of the parks is more than 100 types of birds. Limestone hills, various caves, and the number of river flow can also be viewed there. Erawan national park is a nice natural place for spending some quality time close to nature. You can also enjoy the food stall in the parks

Visit Waterfall-
Just take a bicycle on rent from the reception counter and cover many parts of the park by it. Visit the Erawan waterfall and also visit the bridge over the Kwai River.
Enjoy Songkran Festival-
In April, there is a festival in the park called Songkran festival. There are 7 tiers in the park. There are some basic food and drinks available up to level 2. Beyond level 2, carrying the food is not allowed.
Wildlife-
Enjoy watching various wildlife species like Asian Elephant, Gibbon, Barking deer, Samber deer, wild boar, etc. If you are enthusiastic about birds, then also you can watch more than 100 types of birds at this park.
Things to Remember-
Many people try to swim in the water but it is not advisable to swim there due to some fishes. Do not trek with slippers as some of the climbing might be slippery and will require shoes.
Inside the park, near the car parking there are many food stalls but they are quite expensive. You may just head towards the north and can have cheap food in the market there. Some of the nearby restaurants are Baan Tonn Naam, Baan Aaya, Khaesaet, Ruen Tara.
Do not carry water-sensitive electronic items to this park as near the waterfall it may get damaged. As this place is open, visit with walking shoes and comfortable clothes. Applying sunscreen cream is also required to avoid sunburn.
