Overview

Have you heard the name of “Scorpion Queen” lady? This lady is the world record holder for Stay with Scorpions in 2008. The lady stayed in a 12sqm room with 5000 scorpions for 33 days.  This extraordinary achievement was obtained at The Sriracha Tiger Park or Pattaya Tiger Park.

A Zoo mainly focused on tiger in the city of Sriracha District, approximately 30 minutes' drive from the main tourist destination, Pattaya in Thailand. Spreading across the vast area of 400,000sqm, this zoo is the biggest zoo in the Asian continent. You will be able to See over 300 Panther tigers and nearly 100,000 species of crocodiles on site. 

Another attraction of this place is Meeting, greeting, and feeding adorable tiger cubs, farm animals, ostriches, kangaroos, and wilder animals. This zoo also promotes the protection of the environment and various endangered animals in the region. There is no historical significance attached to this place as it is a man-made zoo. This tiger zoo was opened in 1997 and it is divided into four zones like Talent show zone, Tiger Breeding Zone, Crocodile Zone, and Animal Zone.

How to Reach

  • By Bus : If you want to reach Sriracha Tiger Park from Bangkok then hire bus from the Ekamai bus terminal or the Mor Chit bus terminal.If you are in Pattaya then take a bus from Pattaya bus stop to the park.

Tourist attractions

Famous for its vast number of tigers and crocodiles, this zoo offers various activities to entertain the tourist-

Tiger Show- 

Home of many Bengal tigers, this zoo offers various activities based on tiger clubbed as a tiger show. You will be tigers jumping across the fire, walking on tight ropes, and much more. Some animal activist accuses this zoo of circumcising the animals in the name of their protection and activity. Tiger show is held up three times a day:- 11:00 13:30 and 15:30 generally.

Crocodile show- 

In this zoo, the trained person will guide the crocodiles to do various hairs –raising positions. Your heart will stop beating for some seconds when we will see the trained person putting his/her head inside the open mouth of a very patient and calm crocodile. The timing of this show is 9:30, 10:30, 13:00 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00.

Elephant Show-

The elephant is the central animal in Thailand. Thailand is truly called the land of white elephants. In every tourist destination in this Asian country, you will see elephants amusing the tourist. Here also, you will see elephants doing various tricks to make your time fun-filled. You may also get an elephant ride by paying some extra money. The timing of the elephant's show is 11:40 14:30 and 16:30.

Pig Show-

Another unique feature of this zoo, here pigs will race down on a small track. You may also witness mother pigs feed tiger cubs alongside their piglets. The timing of pig's show is in every 30 minutes.

The zoo is a paradise for food lovers. All types of foods ranging from cheap to costly are available around this area. The Beer galleries, Mum Aroi, Cho Fu, Sukiya are some of the best restaurants offing authentic Thai food situated nearby.

This place is very big, so always come to visit with less stuff and more time and energy. Wear loose and comfortable clothes. Carry a water bottle and some energy drinks to have as it is very tiring to cover the vast area.

Thailand's Tiger Temple is notorious for animal trafficking, so this park was closed. But in 2017, preparations were made to open this park again. This park was closed again in the year 2019 due to the death of many baby tigers.
