Very beautiful temple. This has heart of Shiva seems.. it takes approx 3-4 hours to walk upto temple so recommend to start early. It's one of the key temples of Shiva and also has facility to stay near temple if you want. Way to top is well constructed road. You can also hire a carriage/horse to go up if walking is difficult. Trek is beautiful and highly recommended if you go to this area. Chopta is a nice location nearby this temple. Going further top to chandrashila peak is highly highly recommended as it offers spectacular view of Himalaya range peaks if you don't find clouds.

This temple is open for visitors from 06 AM till 07 PM. This place can be visited the whole years; however, the rainy season should be avoided due to the danger of Landfall.
There are very few accommodations available just near the temple. It is very common amongst people to stay at Chopta for a day hike to Tungnath and Chandrashila and return the same day.
Visiting this place at any time of the year is enjoyable. But people prefer visiting in winter due to snow. In winter the whole trek covers with snow. Many snow-related activities can be enjoyed.
This place is for youngsters. As in the way you have to trek, also trekking way is not smooth; it’s advisable to not visit this place with elders or children.
